Requiem for classical music on the radio

Redskins Owner Set to Buy Last Classical Station

Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has reached a preliminary agreement to buy classical music station WGMS-FM in a deal that would expand his budding sports-talk radio empire and likely be the swan song for the area's only classical outlet.

This would be a terrible blow to the cultural life of our community.

Bonneville is owned by the Mormon Church and characterizes itself as a "values driven company". The value here appears to be greed.

Perhaps a campaign to inquire about their values might be useful: 801-575-7500.

I thought about rejecting the above comment, it is not as if it adds anything to the discussion of any topic. But I decided that there is some purpose served by documenting the level of angry non thought in our public discourse.
