In this talk, agility will be examined from the perspective of assurance – that is, confidence that a delivered system will gracefully withstand the stresses or real-world usage, and instill confidence in those who use it, who operate it, who secure it, and who maintain it.

There are a variety of ways in which developers can implement authentication and authorization in their applications. This session will provide a brief overview and demonstration of three such methods:
o Java 2 Security
o Tomcat Servlet Security
o Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS).
